Come Learn More About Me!

Who is Landri Harmon?
Hey there! I am Landri Harmon, I am a passionate 21-year-old NIU undergrad college student who’s diving headfirst into the world of Art Education! I grew up in a small town in Northern Illinois and am the middle child of three siblings! I love spending time with my family and friends as well as entertaining my cat. I love to swim, read, create art, do photography, and so much more!
I’m all about sparking creativity in young kids and can’t wait to share my experience in the classroom. I am determined to make art fun and accessible for everyone, and to eventually create a space where kids can explore, express themselves, and discover the fascination of art!
I couldn't tell you the excitement that I felt when I got accepted into the Art Education program at NIU! Saying yes has been the best decision of my life! As I transferred from Sauk to NIU, being able to step right into the program at NIU was beyond amazing! I still have a little way to go yet, but I am excited to see what else I can accomplish on my way to becoming an Art Teacher! Let's get'em Huskies!
My Education
Morrison High School
August 2019 - May 2023
May 2023 - May 2025
Sauk Valley
Community College
Days after I graduated high school, my journey through college began as I made my way to Sauk Valley Community College! As I was introduced to summer classes, I also got a glance into what real life looks like and what I should expect for my future. While completing my Gen. Eds., I bonded strongly with friends and professors, as well as enjoyed their fine arts program. Graduating with my Associate's in Art, I was ready to move on! Go Get'em Skyhawks!
Growing up in Morrison, IL, it was fated for me to end up at MHS for my high school years! As I moved throughout the semesters, I was able to easily commit to what I wanted to do with my life with the help of others. As I continued to wrap up my education in high school, I reminisced about the memories, but couldn't wait to move on! Go Morrison Mustangs!
