Using colorful balloons and creating balloon animals, a creative composition was formed and recreated with chalk pastels

Grabbing objects to help represent me, I created an interesting composition within my apartment to draw and recreate using Prismacolor Pencils

Using a mirror to capture my moments of sickness, I created a self-portrait using charcoal and shading techniques, as well as working with the white from the paper to create highlights

Using different techniques and materials, such as water-based paint, painter's tape, table salt, and more, I was able to explore my abilities and go beyond the traditional ideas of art using water-based paint

Using water-based paint, I was able to recreate a book cover from a classic novel, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J. D. Salinger. Being able to have artistic creativity with this project and remaking this book cover, I decided to design it in a way that I thought matched the book better than the original cover!

Using water-based gouache, I had the opportunity to create a scene from the book "The Catcher in the Rye" itself, as this was a series project that connected with the book cover. I really enjoyed how this came out to be, it's simple but catches the eye of someone walking by, no pun intended!
