Art & Tech in PK-12 Classroom

Art Education 343

My digital arts portfolio showcases a range of creative projects that I create, demonstrating proficient skills in programs that are well-known to all, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom for image manipulation, graphic design work, and photo editing. Also included are my time-based arts, such as my stop-motion video, which includes my skills in video work and visual storytelling. My combination of work illustrates proficiency and technical expertise on multiple fronts of Digital Arts. I enjoyed creating every piece displayed below, as it allowed me to express myself in a different medium than through traditional artwork!

Photography

My photography work demonstrates my knack for storytelling through the lens of a camera! By being able to utilize diverse angles and lighting techniques, I was able to create unique photos that created their own narrative and a mood to help enhance my viewers' experience. I explored many approaches with these pictures as well as with the camera techniques, which then helped me to capture incredible perspectives of everyday items and/or people. My photography reflects a strong commitment to the technical and artistic aspects of the skill by creating compelling images from a simple camera that resonates with my viewers!

Graphic Design Work

In my Graphic Design Work, I was able to easily showcase proficiency in the many Adobe programs we ended up using, such as Illustrator and Photoshop. By utilizing the various tools within the program, I was able to bring my creative visions to life. I've improved my essential skills within each program, such as creating and manipulating layers as well as enhancing my ability to create designs and appealing visual compositions. My work here reflects my solid understanding of the design principles and technical expertise that fall into Graphic design Work!

Time Arts Work

Creating Time Arts, specifically a Stop Motion Video with my group of 4, requires a significant amount of effort and dedication to ensure that everything flows well together and no mistakes are visible. The process involves critically planning out our idea, coordinating within our group, and paying strict attention to detail to make sure each contribution to the video is well appreciated and will be seen within the video. My group and I had a lot of fun creating our video, but we were determined to make it as good as it could be! By being able to collaborate, it highlights our effort as a group, our effective communication skills as a group, and even a shared vision we had that would eventually be brought to life. In the end of it all, every moment spent working to make each frame just right was well worth it!
